Memorial Biography

Gholamhossein Mostofizadeh died peacefully on January 15, 2020. At the time of his passing he was 81.

“Hossein” is survived by his wife Marjorie; sister, Ferdose; children, Djavad and Melaquisha; and grandchildren, Alyssa, Jordan, Dakota, Darius, Raina, Emily, and Kylie. In addition, Hossein leaves behind numerous friends, cousins, nephews and nieces.

Hossein was born on February 5, 1938 in Kerman, Iran to Djavad and Melaqu Mansouri. He moved to the United States in 1963 and attended Queens College. He met Marjorie Goldsmith at Howard Johnsons in Times Square, they were married in 1967 and moved to Trenton. In 1969 their son, Djavad was born and they spent the next 9 years living between Trenton, Tehran and Kerman. Subsequently, Hossein and family moved to West Amwell in 1978 to settle down. In 1979 daughter Melaquisha was born.  From 1978 to 2020 Gholamhossein lived and worked on his 36 acre farm in West Amwell.  "The Farm" lie his family farm in Iran was his legacy to his family.  

Hossein’s family will remember him as a kind, generous and hardworking father who always put his families’ interests above his own. Gholamhossein was a prankster and enjoyed making his kids and grandkids laugh. Hossein’s smile and laughter were infectious. Gholamhossein, “Dad”, “Pop-pop” will be missed tremendously and remembered dearly.
